NCAA BB Picks and Parlays Kansas State Wildcats vs. TCU Horned Frogs
The Horned Frogs look to stay after their early tournament win as they face off against Big 12 favorites.
The Horned Frogs just survive a close game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the first round of the tournament. They blew a 16 point first half lead against the Cowboys but have advanced nonetheless. For the Horned Frogs to have a chance to pull off a huge upset, they are going to need more from their best scorers than what they got from them in their last outing against this Kansas State squad. In their 64-52 defeat on March 4th, leading scorer Desmand Bane only produced 7 points while forward Kouat Noi put up a douhnut on the scoreboard. TCU will need more than 7 points combine for those two if they want any chance at hanging around in this game against that stifling Wildcats defense.
A notable advantage the Horned Frogs have over their Big 12 rival is that they are better than Kansas State in almost every offensive category. They average approximately 74 points a game compared to Kansas State’s 65. They also produce more offensive rebounds and shoot a higher field goal percentage than the Wildcats. However, none of that will matter if they can’t figure out how to break through the stingy Wildcats in this one as evident with their last performance against them.
Kansas State Wildcats will be one of the favorites to win the Big 12 tournament and they obviously have bigger aspirations once March Madness starts. However, they are dealing with the injury bug as they prepare to square off against the Horned Frogs. Forward Dean Wade has been ruled out for their contest. By not having the services of Dean Wade, the Wildcats will be without their second leading scorer and leading rebounder. Fortunately for the Wildcats, guards Kamau Stokes and Cartier Diarra has been upgraded to probable.
Kansas State’s strength in this matchup will be on the defensive end. The squad holds teams on average to 59.06 points a game. That places the team as 4th in the country in points allowed. They also have the edge in the defensive rebounding department, and are ranked 24th in the country in that category. Losing Dean Wade will hurt them in their ability to rack up boards so the pressure will be placed on Xavier Sneed and others to pick up the slack. This team will need to disrupt the rhythm of TCU by forcing turnovers and scoring on fast break opportunities.

FREE NCAA BB Expert Picks TCU Horned Frogs vs. Kansas State Wildcats
Kansas State already beat this squad almost two weeks ago in a 64-52 win on the road at TCU. The Wildcats’ strength on defense is better than the Horned Frogs’ strength on offense. Losing Wade will hurt the Wildcats a bit but not enough to make a substantial difference in this one. The Wildcats will take care of business, especially with such a small spread.
