This Mountain West matchup features two of the best players in the conference with Jalen McDaniels leading the Aztecs and Nico Carvacho leading the Buffaloes as they lead their teams in points and rebounding. The Aztecs are slight favorites but have struggled away from home managing to go 2-6 on the road this season. Look for Nathan Mensah who is second in the conference in blocks to get time on Carvacho as the Aztecs could struggle to contain him and will most likely have a rotating cast of players trying to slow Carvacho down and Colorado State should struggle as a result. This game will be determined on the boards with San Diego State has more players in the frontcourt and their defense although it hasn’t been great on the road it should be able to slow down the Rams offense to get the win and keep their slim tournament hopes alive.
