Saturday evening College football action and the Miami Hurricanes will battle it out with the Clemson Tigers in the Atlantic Coast Conference Title game, which will take place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Hurricanes are coming of a staggering loss at Pittsburgh to finish 7-1 in their conference, while the Tigers also went 7-1 in the ACC and took out the Gamecocks by a score of 34-10 in their final regular season win. These teams last met in 2015 and Tigers demolished the Hurricanes by a score of 58-0.
The Miami Hurricanes have had a great year and they came into this past game as just one on four teams that were still undefeated. The hopes of a perfect season is now gone as they fell to the Pitt Panthers on the road by a score of 24-14. The Hurricanes have not played great in multiple games this year, but they were able to find a way to win those games. They weren’t able to get back on the horse in the loss to Pittsburgh as their close call victories finally caught up with them. The offense just didn’t play well in the game as they had only 232 yards of total offense, including just 45 yards on the ground which is their forte. Malik Rosier was pretty inaccurate and insufficient as he just hit 15 of 34 passes for 187 yards in the game two TD’s. Rosier will have to turn his game completely around if they hope to upset the Tigers, but getting help from their run game wouldn’t hurt either. Rosier had a very good season overall as he has hit 55.2% of his passes for 2798 yards with 25 TDs and just nine INTs. The defense has been solid this year and they allowed only 345 yards of total offense to Pittsburgh. They will need to step up in this one and make sure the “turnover chain” makes an appearance multiple times to pull out this victory. If the Hurricanes play like they did against the Irish they should be in good shape.
The Clemson Tigers win the ACC Title last year on their way to winning the National Title and if they are to win the ACC Title again, then they will be in the playoffs with a shot at defensing their National Title. Syracuse was Clemson’s only blemish this year and it was by a margin of 3 only. Since then, they have won five in a row and have outscored their opponents by an average of 24 ppg over that stretch. The Tigers are coming off a strong 34-10 win over a very good South Carolina team on the road and they were lead defensively in that game as they only allowed 207 yards of total offense. The defense as been stingy as of late as they have now allowed just 213 ypg and 9.0 ppg over their last three games. The offense was great as well as they piled up 469 yards of offense against a very good South Carolina defense. Kelly Bryant hit 23 of 34 passes in the game for 272 yards with two TDs and an INT. For the year, he has hit 66.4% of his passes for 2426 yards with 12 TDs and six INTs, he has also rushed for 639 yards and 10 TDs. He will be challenged against Miami’s tough defense in this one.

FREE College Football Prediction Clemson Tigers vs. Miami Hurricanes
Miami just plain out laid an egg against the Panthers, and with the lack of urgency way they played the loss was understandable, if also shocking. Clemson, meanwhile, has been pretty good about playing up to their competition this year. Although this will be the toughest team for the Tigers so far, I do like Clemson wining here, just not covering. The line is just to high to get me off the Hurricanes that quick. Take Miami in this revenge game.
