The TCU Horned Frogs and the Oklahoma Sooners meet in Arlington, Texas for the Big 12 Championship. This football game will be broadcasted on Fox Sports.

Oklahoma is playing for a spot in the College Football Playoff while TCU is playing for major bowl. TCU will hope to have better luck against the Sooners because when the Frogs played the Sooners on November 11th, they were destroyed 38-20.  Sooners Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 333 yards and Running Back Rodney Anderson had 290 total yards.  The Horned Frogs were outscored 35-14 in the first half.  This should be a closer game and with the skates on the line, nobody is getting blowed out this time around.

Boomer Sooner rolls into this game 11-1 and running on all cylinders. Last Friday the Sooners demolished West Virginia 59-31.  Sooners Quarterback Baker Mayfield went 14-17 for 281 yards and three scores.  Running back Rodney Anderson had four touchdowns on the day.  The Sooners racked up 646 total yards and scored 31 points alone in the second quarter.  The Sooners defense forced two turnovers; however Oklahoma had 102 yards in penalties. The Sooners offense averages 45 points a game and has scores 40 or more in eight straight games.  This team is also puts up 378 passing and 215 rushing yards a game. Baker Mayfield is the player in this game you better watch. Mayfield has 37 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions.  Running backs Rodney Anderson and Trey Sermon have  combined for 1,514 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.  Marquise Brown leads the team in receiving with 894 yards.  On the defensive side of the ball, the Sooners defensive is average.  This team gives up 25 points a game and has given up 30 or more times five times.  The Sooners have the nation’ s  90th  rank pass defense.  The player to watch on this side of the ball is Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, who has 8 sacks and 17 tackles for loss.

The TCU Horned Frogs come into this game 10-2 and looking return to the top of the BIG 12. Last Friday, the Horned Frogs  beat Baylor 45-22. TCU outscored the Bears 24-3 in the second half.  Matt Boesoen, had a school record 5 ½ sacks in Friday’s contest. Coming into this game TCU is putting up 34 points a game. Quarterback Kenny Hill has been efficient , throwing 19 touchdowns to  5 interceptions.  Darius Anderson leads the team in rushing with 768 yards.  John Diairse leads the team in receiving with 477 yards.  On the defensive side of the ball,  this team only gives up 15 points a game and is top ten in the nation  in pass defense, rush defense and sacks. TCU has held seven opponents to 20 points or less in games this season. The defensive players to watch in this game are Travin Howard, who leads the teams in  tackles with 83  and  Matt Boesen who has  13 tackles for loss and  11 ½ sacks  this season.

Round two this time for the BIG 12 Championship game.  TCU only gives up 15 points a game however; this team gave up 36 to SMU, 31 to Oklahoma State and 38 to Oklahoma, what do those teams have in common? High scoring offenses. TCU will not lose by 18 points in this game, but I just don’t see them containing this OU offense. Oklahoma will win this game in score around 45-38. Take the Sooners.
