ESPN NCAA Basketball Picks Arizona Wildcats vs Oregon State Beavers

Arizona: The Wildcats come into this game with a 16-12 record after winning their second straight game, 70-54 against Stanford. Arizona’s two leading scorers were Ira Lee with 16 points (6-7 FG), and Chase Jeter with 14 points (7-10 FG). Justin Coleman finished with 14 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3PT) and 5 assists, leading the offense very well. This win against Stanford was their 19th straight against the Cardinal. Before the Stanford game, on Wildcats played a solid all around performance in a win against Cal last Wednesday, which ended their seven game losing streak. Arizona appears to be looking a lot better after their rough patch, especially with freshman point guard Brandon Williams returning to the lineup after missing 6 games. On the season, the Wildcats are averaging 72.1 ppg on 42.9 FG% and 33.9 3PT%, while giving up 68.2 ppg on 44.5 FG% and 32.46 3PT%.

Oregon State: The Beavers come into this match with a 17-9 record, after beating USC 67-62 on the road. The Beavers took control of this game in the last 3 minutes, and edged out a close one.Leading Oregon State were Stephen Thompson Jr. (6-13 FG, 3-7 3PT) and Kylor Kelley (7-8 FG) with 15 points apiece. The Beavers led most of the game, but a USC run brought it closer with the game winding down, but Oregon State quickly went on a 10-0 run to hold them off for good. Tres Tinkle (4-15 FG, 0-3 3PT) was another great player for the Beavers with 14 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists. This win was a big step in the Beavers possibly getting a first round bye in the Pac-12 tournament. On the season, Oregon State is averaging 73.6 ppg on 46.9 FG% and 32.1 3PT%, while giving up 68.7 ppg on 42.4 FG% and  36.2 3PT%.

FREE NCAAB Prediction Oregon State Beavers vs Arizona Wildcats

The Pac-12 always has good matchups and I think this one will be good. Oregon State is having a great season, looking for that 1st round bye in the Pac-12 tournament. After starting good, the Wildcats went on a losing streak, but are now looking a lot better, and playing some good basketball. However Arizona is not doing good on the road this season, with a 4-7 record. Oregon State has one of the most talented teams in the Pac-12, and with home court advantage, they play really good basketball. The best player on the court for this game, will be playing for Oregon State, in Tres Tinkle. Oregon State is my pick to win.

Pick: Oregon State (-4)
