Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys Free NFL Pick

This game has no meaning to either team, the Cowboys are eliminated from playoff contention and the Eagles clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs in week 16. This game will still be competitive with the depth the Eagles have and the lack of reason that the Cowboys have to play this game.

The Eagles are benching the majority of the starting line up and will let guys who normally do not see the field, get to prove why they are on an NFL roster. Nick Foles who replaced Carson Wentz after Wentz tore his ACL, is still set to start today’s game but will most likely be removed and we will see the first NFL action of Nate Sudfield. The Eagles have the second highest scoring offense in the league at 30.5 points per game and in the last 3 games is averaging 32 points. The team has not slowed down since the loss of Wentz but might struggle this week with many reserves seeing the field. Head Coach Doug Pederson does not seem concerned with the offenses struggle last week against the Raiders.

The Cowboys have nothing to play for this game and will also experiment with a mix of the regular starting lineup and to get young players valuable snaps. The Cowboys struggled in 6 weeks without star running back Ezekiel Elliot only hoisting a 3-3 record which ultimately put the franchises playoff hopes into his hands in the week 16 matchup against Seattle where they were officially eliminated from contention. The offense should be back to its normal ways this week while Prescott and Elliot are both in the backfield, and will probably show us why they won the NFC East last season.

The Cowboys will win this game off a big game from Zeke in the first half, the game will fall short of the 41 point mark due to the number of reserves that will enter the game from both sides. The Eagles offense will continue its struggle from last week and never get hot. Nick Foles will probably be relieved before the start of the second half and Sudfield will move the ball against Dallas’s reserves.

#Eagles OL coach on Jason Peters: “I don’t think he’s going to miss any time, personally.”

#Eagles OC Mike Groh said that Corey Clement wasn’t on a pitch count against the Giants last week. (There was a report he was coming back from a quad injury.)

The #Eagles got to work and got the job done, but still aren’t satisfied. ⁦@inkstainedretch⁩:

Jordan Hicks and Kamu Grugier-Hill tipped the #Eagles off to a fast start in win over Giants. ⁦@LesBowen⁩:

Saquon Barkley will give the #Eagles fits for years but it likely won’t matter until they get a new (better) QB. My column:
