The Detriot Lions travel to Arizona to test Kyler Murray in his regular-season debut. Both teams are looking to bounce back after woeful seasons last year.

The Lions come off a relatively disappointing season where not much worked out for them. However, the Lions return their offensive core and add a new addition in Jesse James. Matthew Stafford, Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay all return to the offense hoping to produce more than they did last season. One thing that the Lions will not worry about is their front seven. With one of the best front three in all of football, the Lions went out and gave Trey Flowers a five-year, $90 million deal. Flowers was a major factor in the Patriots Superbowl win last year. With an NFC North division that may be wide open after Thursday nights game between the Packers and Bears, the Lions may have more desire to win week one and establish some ground in the division early.

The Arizona Cardinals start the season with hopes of change in the form of current #1 overall pick, Kyler Murray. Murray impressed everyone at the University of Oklahoma with his exciting offensive skillset and now will put it to the test against one of the best defensive lines in the league. A key factor will be how the Cardinals protect Murray, if Murray is slammed repeatedly early in the game, it may get scary. However, Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals had a great draft this year and have all the makings of pulling off huge upsets.
