Free ESPN NFL Picks Kansas City Chiefs Vs Indianapolis Colts
Divisional round starts off with Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts Vs Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Indianapolis is coming off a huge win over the Houston Texans while Kansas City is hoping a week off could boast them into Championship weekend.
Against the Texans the Colts took control of the game going up 21-0 and never looked back, Andrew Luck completed 19 of his 32 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns. The Texans haven’t given up a 100-yard rushing performance once this season and Marlon Mack put that to rest rushing for 148-yards and one score. T.Y Hilton had five receptions and 85 yards, Dontrelle Inman and Eric Ebron both hauled in one of Lucks touchdowns. Offensively, the Colts have the seventh ranked total offense and the sixth ranked passing offense averaging 386.2 yards of total offense and scoring 27.1 points per game.
Before the Colts reached the playoffs most people were thinking Indianapolis season was over after starting 1-5, but they won nine of their final ten including a 33-17 victory over the Tennessee Titian’s in the final week of the season to punch the sixth seed. The Colts became the third team since the merger to make the playoffs after a 1-5 start. The first six weeks of the NFL the Colts gave up more than 30 points four times and since week seven the Colts haven’t given up one 30 point game, I guess you can say the 11th ranked defense has stepped it up. Rookie Darius Leonard is a big reason why, he led the NFL in tackles as a rookie and made first team all-pro.
Kansas City finished 12-4 and clinched a first round bye after beating Oakland 35-3 in the final week of the season. Patrick Mahomes finished with 281 passing yards and two touchdowns completing 14 of his 24 passes with one interception. Damien Williams rushed 11 times for 51 yards, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce combined for 10 receptions and 163 receiving yards. The Chiefs have the number one offense in the league averaging 425.6 total yards per game and 35.3 points per game. If Indianapolis plans on winning their defense will have to have one of their better games of the year, or this will be an offensive shoot out and you don’t want that to happen against Kansas City’s explosive offense.
Defensively, Kansas City is not very good they rank 31 of 32 in total defense giving up 405.5 total yards and 26.3 points per game. In their final six games the Chiefs gave up at least 24 points in five of them and at least 29 in four of them. To top things off Kansas City could very well be without their best defense of player in Eric Berry, he is dealing with a heel injury and his status for Saturday is questionable. If he cant make it I expect Andrew Luck to light this defense apart.

ESPN NFL Scores Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City is very deserving of the one seed in the AFC, but down the stretch the Chiefs seemed to slow down. Winning four of their last six by no more than 3 points and losing to the Chargers and the Seahawks in week 15 and 16.I think we all know of Kansas City’s track record in the post-season in recent years, could this be the year they finally reach the AFC championship? Indianapolis is not doing it pretty, but they are getting the job done on offense and the defense has really stepped it up. With that being said, I think Kansas City finally gets the job done, Patrick Mohomes is mostly likely going to be MVP and in this game I think he proves it to everyone he is the real deal.
