NFL Picks Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Minnesota Vikings travel north to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a game with huge playoff implications for both teams.

The Minnesota Vikings are sitting at 8-3, but currently would the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs at the moment. However, a win and a Packers loss would put them as the third seed. That should be all the motivation the Vikings need to give it their all in this one on Monday night.

The Vikings will likely rely on Running Back Dalvin Cook yet again. Cook is third in the league in rushing with 1,017 yards. However, it will be interesting to see how the Seattle run defense can stop Cook. If the game does rely on Quarterback Kirk Cousins, watch to see how the Seahawks secondary fairs against Cousins. Cousins has been very good recently, and the Seattle secondary is 28th in passing yards per game, allowing 268.5 yards per game.

The Seattle Seahawks are 9-2 and despite the impressive record, it only lands them at the fifth seed in the NFC playoffs right now, but they are only a game behind the 49ers for the NFC West Division. With Seattle's recent 27-24 overtime win over the Niner, a win and a San Franciso loss could propel them to as high as the first seed in the NFC.

The Seahawks will need to stop Dalvin Cook and the Minnesota run game. Minnesota ranks fourth in rushing yards this season with 142.5 per game. However, Seattle may have the answer in all-pro Linebacker, Bobby Wagner. Wagner is fourth in the league in tackles with 105. Of course, the Seahawks will rely on Quarterback Russell Wilson, who will attempt to put his name back up as the top MVP candidate. Wilson will have to do a lot to evade the Vikings pass rush with Seattle's poor offensive line.
