NFL FUTURE WIN TOTALS OVER/UNDER BALTIMORE RAVENS

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a mediocre 2016-2017 season where they went 8-8. The season was considered a failure as the Ravens failed to make the playoffs. The Ravens started the season with a 3-1 record but after week four it all went down hill as they lost four straight. The Ravens struggled mightily on the road last year, going 2-6 in games away from M&T Bank Stadium.

Besides their away struggles, the Ravens struggled running the ball – ranking 28th in the NFL.

BALTIMORE RAVENS 9 WINS OVER/UNDER

In order to help supplement the workload at running back, the Ravens signed Danny Woodhead. Though, they are not helped by the suspension of Kenneth Dixon for the first four games of the year. The Danny Woodhead signing will allow the Ravens to continue to run the ball and add depth as a third back once Dixon returns. Also, Woodhead can play in multiple backfield sets.

To help fill the void left by Steve Smith Sr. (who retired), the Ravens signed ex-Chief Jeremy Maclin. Maclin is the same type of player the Steve Smith Sr. was. A speed demon who stretches the floor, only Maclin is years younger and a lot taller. Maclin is considered to be a top-tier wide receiver and now will be the No. 2 receiver to Mike Wallace.

The Ravens will also run back their great defense from last year. They ranked seventh in total defense, ninth in pass defense, fifth in rush defense and ninth in points allowed.

The Ravens have a very favorable schedule this year. They play the Browns and Bengals twice as well as the Jaguars, Bears, Texans, Lions and Colts all at home. With all that said, they do have to play Pittsburgh twice and go to Lambeau Field to play the Packers and have to go to Oakland to play Raiders. I see all four of those games being losses and any sort of victory in those games is a bonus. So, there are three games left for the Ravens to win two in order to hit the 10-win mark. Those games are vs. Miami, @ Minnesota, and @ Tennesee. I think they easily win two of those and maybe win three.
