NFL FUTURE WIN TOTAL OVER/UNDER PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Even though we are days away from the start of the official 2017 NFL season, the sports world is already taking bets on various teams. While some sites are already showcasing their over/under win totals for teams, there are always teams who seem to surprise everyone. This year’s predictions are sure to shake up Las Vegas and oddsmakers. Even though it’s not always easy to know which teams are great to bet on, games can always take a turn with injuries or something entirely different.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 9.5 WINS OVER/UNDER: OVER
After adding wide receivers to go with their 2016 2nd overall pick Carson Wentz, the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to show the world what they are made of. With their defense showing improvement and the building of their secondary, the Philadelphia Eagles are looking at a spot in the playoffs. After the train wreck that was Chip Kelly, Head Coach Doug Pederson gave the Eagles some much-needed help at the coaching position. Even though the season was what some would call a letdown, their free agency is sure to bring the life back to Philadelphia.
All the success of this upcoming season lies solely on future franchise quarterback Carson Wentz ‘s shoulders. Wentz threw 16 touchdowns in his rookie career with 379 completions out of 607 attempts, making his debut rookie QB rating a solid 79% for the year. Philadelphia Eagles’ 2017 NFL Schedule will play a factor into their success. NFC East was hard at work during the free agency, signing big time playmakers like Alson Jeffery to the Eagles or Brandon Marshell to the New York Giants. No matter the outcome, the Philadelphia Eagles play teams near the bottom of the power rankings like L.A. Rams, 49ers, and Chicago, making them a sure-fire team to clinch their division. For the Philadelphia Eagles to succeed,
The last couple years, Philadelphia hasn’t shown any promise in their team. Bad coaching and unproven players have cursed the team. The Eagles came in at the top of the list in rushing fumbles with 9 total in 2016, hence the pick up of Pro Bowl running back LeGarrentt Blount in free agency. Eagles defense had a combined total of 34 sacks which is higher than the average NFL team. Drafting DE Derek Barnett shows that the Eagles are hoping to bring some fire and fresh blood to their line. But like any season, anything can happen. Carson Wentz and his Philadelphia Eagles will be interesting to watch to see how their exciting offseason moves work out. It would be shocking to see these Eagles blow through their uninteresting schedule.
