NFL Future Win Totals Over/Under Seattle Seahawks

The NFL Season is only 2 months away and we at CTS365 are anxious to get started writing! So where better to start than talking about NFL Futures? Las Vegas and the odds makers have already begun predicting the winners and losers and one of the most active bets thus far is the Over/Under on total team wins. Throughout the next week, CTS365 is going to be dissecting each team and giving you, the reader, as much information as possible so that you are better prepared when looking to place a bet on Total Team Wins. Let us begin with the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks 10.5 Wins Over/Under: OVER

The Odds Makers have the over/under for total Seattle Seahawks wins at 10.5. The Seahawks are coming off of a solid 10-5-1 season that ended stronger than it began. Russell Wilson hurt his ankle early on in the year and he seemed to be dealing with it the entire season. Considering that Wilson’s biggest strength is his ability to scramble, this was devastating for the Seahawks as he was forced to become a pocket quarterback. This year we expect Wilson to be at 100%.

The next topic of discussion I would like to present is that of Eddie Lacy. By far the most memorable of off-season moves this year, Lacy came to Seattle a new man. Weighing in at 250 lbs., Lacy lost 17 pounds before arriving at training camp and is looking to prove that he is focused and dedicated to the cause. As it is, Lacy is a beast of a running back. When he came out of Alabama he was weighing 231 and he is looking to get down to that weight again. This is going to add speed to the power back and will give Seattle new life in the backfield which has been missing since Marshawn Lynch walked away from the game (albeit for a short period of time). I am sure Russell Wilson is happy as a clam as it is going to open up the passing game alot.

Speaking of the passing game, Doug Baldwin had his best season as a professional last year. With the addition of Eddie Lacy in the backfield, a healthy Russel Wilson, and another year of experience with Jimmy Graham, Baldwin should expect to have yet another stellar year. Jermaine Kearse is a good compliment on the other side of the field as he has good speed and solid hands but the biggest improvement I foresee this year is the relationship between Russell Wilson and Jimmy Graham. Graham is great in the red zone and has the strength to free himself from any defender. We saw bits of his ability last year. We should see more of that in the 2017 NFL Season.

Finally we get to the defense. As if we even need to speak about it. The Seattle secondary is, by far, the best in the league. They bring back the core of Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, and Earl Thomas which should scare all wide receivers in the league. Then there is Bobby Wagner and Michael Bennett who are a nightmare for quarterbacks. Lastly, the Seattle Seahawks defense would not be complete without the 12th man. The Seattle fans are the loudest in the league and if even possible, I am anticipating they will be even louder this year.

The Seattle Seahawks continue to be one of the most dominant teams in the league. This year will be no different. Last year the hopes were high but a week 1 Russell Wilson injury made for a difficult season. Still, Seattle almost went all the way but for a red hot Atlanta Falcons team that ended up beating them 36-20. This year, assuming Wilson remains healthy, I am expecting big things. I am taking the OVER at 10.5 for total wins. Considering their weak division and semi-weak schedule facing the likes of Tennessee, Philadelphia, Houston, Jacksonville, and Washington, the Seahawks should breeze through the regular season and have a very good shot at representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. Keep checking back as we will continue to discuss every team’s chances at hitting the predicted total wins for the year.
