Phoenix Suns (19-48) vs Charlotte Hornets (28-38)

NBA: Saturday March 10th, 2018, 5:00 PM ET | Spectrum Center

Line: Charlotte -12.5

Over/Under: 219.5

The Suns have lost four of their last five games, and nine of their last ten, including a 28 point loss to the Thunder on Thursday. The Suns currently have the most losses in the league with 48, giving them the inside track at best odds for the number 1 overall pick. Rookie forward Josh Jackson and forward T.J. Warren will be out with a knee injury, while guard Devin Booker is questionable with a tricep injury.

The Charlotte Hornets come into this game having lost five in row, all but sealing their fate of missing the postseason yet again. This could lead to some big changes this off season, like trading off guys such as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Nicholas Batum. The Hornets are sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference, seven games out of the playoff hunt. All-Star guard Kemba Walker has done everything he can to keep the Hornets a float, and center Dwight Howard has had a nice resurgent season, but it was not enough to get this squad into the playoffs.

 Charlotte Hornets

Charlotte is 0-5 SU in its last 5 games

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Charlotte’s last 6 games

Charlotte will be playing an under manned Phoenix team, who at full strength is not that good to begin with. Ordinarily I would be weary to take an NBA team laying 12.5 points, even at home, not to mention the Hornets are not exactly world beaters themselves. I do think that game will have a free flowing offense both ways, with not a ton of defense. That is why for this game I feel as though the OVER219.5 points is the smart way to go. Plus 6 of the Hornets last 8 games at home have resulted in the OVER hitting.

Pick: OVER 219.5
