The NFL pre-season is upon us as July continues to dwindle. August 1st marks the date of the first NFL pre-season game. It's never too early for us to begin deciding on which players we will spend our precious fantasy picks on. For the sake of the discussion, we will declare the picks in order based off of the snake type fantasy draft within a league containing 10 teams. I'll be going through the first 5 rounds of the snake style draft, reviewing and justifying the player selection.
1st Pick- DeAndre Hopkins
DeAndre Hopkins is easily a top 3 player in the NFL. When it comes to fantasy football, you must make the most out of every pick. DeAndre Hopkins scored the second-most fantasy points out of all receivers last year, missing the number one spot by a single point. Over the years we've seen this superstar play with numerous quarterbacks that didn't deserve the title of QB1. Throughout the adversity he was faced with, Hopkins continued to produce and stay a top 5 receiver. How could you not trust this pick?
2nd Pick- Alvin Kamara
Alvin Kamara could arguably be the first pick if not for the stellar DeAndre Hopkins. If this man is still on the board by the time the second round comes about, you must pounce on him. With Ingram gone, we will now see Alvin Kamara assume the role of HB1 in its entirety. With more caries and less sharing, he has the potential to lead the 2019 season in fantasy points for running backs. Keep in mind he was 4th during the 2018 NFL season.
