NFL Picks Baltimore Ravens vs San Francisco 49ers
Welcome to this Week 13, NFC West Division vs AFC North Division matchup, between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers are the best team in the NFC. They have the most points scored and least amount of points giving up in the conference. San Francisco holds a slim first place lead in the NFC West and they are 5-0 on the road. Somehow this team doesn’t get respect for their success this season because they haven’t really played any good teams yet. Well last week, they beat the Green Bay Packers 37-8.
The game was done at halftime and the defense made Aaron Rodgers look like a rookie quarterback and he was sacked five times. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went 14 for 20, for 253 yards, and two touchdowns. The Ravens are the best team in the AFC. Sure they don’t have the best record in the conference, but they took down the New England Patriots, have one of the top defenses, and quarterback Lamar Jackson seems to do everything for his team. Baltimore has a comfortable three game lead for first in the AFC North and they are looking to keep pace for the first or second seed. Last week, they blew out the Los Angeles Rams 45-6. The game was done at halftime and Jackson went 15 for 20, for 169 yards, and five touchdowns. This is a bigger game for the 49ers because of how tight the NFC races are.
The 49ers are a very well rounded team. They have a lot of depth at the running game, a quarterback who keeps the offense flowing and does well on third downs, and of course, the best defense in the NFC and maybe in the NFL. Their only weakness is the receiving core can drop some wide open passes at times. Also, Jimmy G can throw some picks from time to time, but he usually responds with a great drive on the next series. San Francisco’s defense has come up big in every game and hardly ever have an off game. They will be truly tested this week because this defense has somewhat struggled against the mobile quarterback. Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson were able to find some success and Jackson will definitely find some holes. George Kittle will need to make some big plays and block for the running game. The defense will need to make a statement early against the Ravens.
The Ravens are rolling right now. Their last five games were blowout wins and the offense has put up 40 plus points in three straight games. Baltimore’s defense is flexing their muscles and Jackson is rushing for close to 100 yards a game and getting a lot of easy touchdown passes. He is making any throw look easy and his confidence is very high. Their offense ranks first in points and rushing yards per game. They are also second in total yards.
