This Saturday the NFC Wild Card will be played against Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys and Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle will be looking to take out Dallas for the second time this season while Dallas tries to make it to the divisional round for the first time since 2015.

The Cowboys were able to clinch the four seed in the playoffs by winning the NFC East division. Finishing with a 10-6 record after winning seven of their last eight games including a 36-35 nail bitter over the New York Giants in the final week of the season. Led by Elliott who won the NFL’s rushing title for the second time in his career rushing for 1,434 yards and he should be well rested after sitting out in the final game of the season. Quarterback Dak Prescott finished the season throwing for 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on 67.7% passing his primary target was Amari Cooper he led the Cowboys with 725 receiving yards and 6 receiving touchdowns in just nine games with Dallas.

Defensively, Dallas has the seventh ranked defense in the NFL with the number five ranked rushing defense. Led by Demarcus Lawrence who leads the Cowboys with 10.5 sacks and Rookie linebacker Leighton Vander Esch who leads the team in tackles with 102. Jaylon Smith the third year pro out of Notre Dame has finally come around after dealing with injuries early on in his career adding 82 tackles and four sacks. If they plan on getting passed Seattle these guys are going to have to show up, the Seahawks haven’t scored less than 21 points since week eight when they lost to the Chargers 25-17.

Seattle is looking for their second straight win over Dallas after beating them at home in week three 24-13. They finished the season 10-6 after winning six of their last seven to clinch the five seed. Russell Wilson has thrown for 3,448 yards, 35 touchdowns and seven interceptions but it wasn’t the passing game that got the Seahawks in the playoffs. Seattle leads the NFL in rushing yards and is second in the league in attempts averaging 160 rushing yards per game. Chris Carson is the featured back rushing for 1,151 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, Mike Davis and Rashaad Penny have combined for 933 yards and six scores.

Frank Clark led Seattle’s defense with 14 sacks and Jarran Reed had 10.5 sacks while Bobby Wagner led Seattle in tackles with 84. As a unit, Seattle is right in the middle of the pack giving up nearly 353 yards of offense per game. This is clearly not the legion of boom but they have played well enough to go with their offense which scores the six most points per game.

ESPN NFL Scores Seattle Seahawks Vs Dallas Cowboys

Both Dallas and Seattle have been red hot since mid-November and both teams love to run the ball, but just because this game is in Dallas doesn’t mean they’ll cover the spread. The Cowboys have just two playoff wins in the last 20 years while Seattle has two Super Bowl appearances in the last five years alone. That could mean Dallas is due for a victory, but experience is huge in the playoffs and I see Seattle walking away with the win. Dallas’s defense keeps the game close but Russell Wilson steals the show and Seattle walks away with the victory.

Pick: Seattle -1.5
