ESPN NHL Scores Buffalo Sabres vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

On tap tonight we have some NHL action as the Buffalo Sabres come into Columbus to visit the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Nationwide Center. Although the Sabres put up a gallant effort, in their last game they were defeated 4-3 by the Vancouver Canucks. They had goals from Evan Rodrigues, Kyle Okposo and Sam Reinhart. The Sabres’ Linus Ullmark netted the loss as he allowed all four Vancouver goals. Unfortunately, the Columbus Blue Jackets are also headed to the All-Star Break with consecutive losses, including a 2-1 defeat against the Minnesota Wild. Artemi Panarin scored the only goal for the Columbus Blue Jackets on the power play in the second period.

ESPN NHL Picks Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Buffalo Sabres

I hate to break it to all of you Buffalo fans, but I like the Columbus Blue Jackets in this game for a number of reasons. First of all, I just don’t like Buffalo’s 1-4 SU in the last five games, nor do I like their 1-6 SU record on the road. When you couple that with the fact the Blue Jackets appear to be on the upswing with their recent SU record of 11-5 and that they have home ice advantage on their side and I just have to go with them. Is it possible that the Sabres could steal a win and escape out of Nationwide Arena? Sure. Strangers things have happened, folks. I don’t see it happening today. Sabres might make it close, but Columbus gets the “W”.
