Free ESPN NHL Picks Boston Bruins vs. Calgary Flames
The Boston Bruins get ready to square off against the Calgary Flames tonight at TD Garden in Boston. The Bruins are coming off a 4-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks and the Calgary Flames outlasted the San Jose Sharks in an 8-5 wild barnburner in their last game. Two tough teams, and they are liable to have a nasty dogfight. Make no bones about it, this should be an interesting game for you to watch and wager on.
Boston comes into this game currently sitting at one win ahead of the Buffalo Sabres. This means that they are currently sitting at third place in the Atlantic Division after their win against the Blackhawks. They have won five times out of their last seven games, and part of the reason for that is because folks like David Pastrnak have 26 goals and 50 points and Brad Marchand has 13 goals and 42 points. They are flanked by Patrice Bergeron, who has 13 goals and 33 points.
Calgary is getting ready to take on the Boston Bruins and they are currently enmeshed in a three-way tie. They got into a barnburner with the San Jose Sharks 8-5? Well folks, the Calgary Flames’ whole entire life is a barnburner right now. They are fighting with the Golden Knights and the Sharks to determine who be on top of the Pacific division when the smoke clears. That’s part of the reason why I have a hard time understanding why the oddsmakers don’t have them favored in this contest.

ESPN NHL Scores Calgary Flames vs. Boston Bruins
Try as I might, I just can’t avoid going with the Calgary Flames in this game. I realize the oddsmakers are going with Boston in this contest, so if you’re not comfortable sharing my conviction well then that’s fine. I don’t know…maybe I’m drawn like a moth to the “Flame”, so to speak? Or maybe it’s just because it seems to me that the Flames have that “it” factor that you need in order to play solid hockey. I realize that Boston is favored because they have done so well SU when playing Calgary lately, but let’s face it folks: all trends reverse eventually. It might 90 years in the case of baseball’s Boston Red Sox, but it does happen. If you want to go with Boston that’s fine. It’s a free country. But I think Calgary takes this one.
