NHL Scores Carolina Hurricanes at Florida Panthers
The Carolina Hurricanes touch down at the BB&T Center in Florida in order to take on the Panthers. They are looking to build on a four-game winning streak, which saw them complete an impressive 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues. Of course, this is not if the Florida Panthers have something to say about it. They are coming off an unfortunate stretch where they have had back-to-back losses, culminating in a competitive 6-5 shootout loss against the Vegas Golden Knights. Either way, it should be a fun game to watch and wager on.
In Carolina’s contest against the St. Louis Blues, they fell behind early when St. Louis scored a goal almost immediately within the opening period. However, Carolina responded just 41 seconds later to have the game tied up. Then, just three short minutes later the Hurricanes scored yet again to take a 2-1 lead. St. Louis would respond by tying the game, but then the Hurricanes’ Sebastian Aho would score a goal in order to re-take the lead for the Hurricanes. Jordan Staal and Andrei Svechnikov to add some insurance, and that’s how it ended: as a 5-2 score.
The Panthers came close, but no cigar in their 6-5 overtime loss against the Golden Knights. Unfortunately, they had too many missed opportunities, especially considering that they opened up the first intermission with a 3-1 lead before the Knights scored 3 unanswered goals to have a dominating 4-3 lead. The Panthers’ Alexander Barkov answered in the last bit of the second to head into the final period with a 4-all tie. Florida would score again for a 5-4 lead, but they would unfortunately relinquish it with five minutes to go in the opening period for a 5-all tie. Moreover, they would receive less-than-inspiring play from their skaters and would have to endure a loss from Vegas by 6 – 5.

NHL Picks Florida Panthers vs. Carolina Hurricanes
The one statistic that jumps out at me here would be the fact that Carolina is 6-0 in their last six contests when they are playing on no rest. Considering that they only have a short commute from North Carolina to Florida there is some likelihood they will increase that trend to 7-0. Moreover, they also have the better record, so I think Carolina will take it.
