There is no question about it, the Nashville Predators are flying high. I predicted they would lose against the Maple Leafs, but they unfortunately made a believer out of me. UGH! Whiffed on that one….oh well, get back on the horse I suppose. In their 4-0 victory against the Maple Leafs, the Predators were able to utilize Mattias Ekholm and P.K. Subban for a couple of scores in the second period. Colton Sissons and Kevin Fiala finished the deal for the Preds by scoring two more goals in the third. There is no question that the Predators are a much better team than the Blackhawks. However, one of the main drawbacks for the Predators would have to be the fact they are away from their home ice. At the United Center, they often have a difficult time playing against the Blackhawks. Of course, they are on fire, so they just might reverse that trend. Time will tell, making this a cool game to watch and wager on.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a tough 4-3 loss against Calgary and will be looking for a little bit of redemption against Nashville. However, it’s going to be difficult simply because Nashville is one of the best in the league and Chicago has struggled with consistency all season long.

Nashville Predators

While there is a strong possibility that the Predators could win this game, there are also some interesting statistics both for and against them as well. First of all, Nashville has just a 1-5 record in their last six games against teams such as the Blackhawks who have a losing record. However, they also have a 7-3 record in the last ten games against Chicago. Muddying the waters a bit would be the fact that the only have a 4-11 record in the last 15 contests against Chicago though.

ESPN NHL Scores Chicago Blackhawks vs. Nashville Predators

It really seems like a mixed bag here, but my gut tells me to go with the Predators. Of course, one of the major reasons for this would be simply because they have a much better record than the Blackhawks. The other reason would be because they have taken MUCH BETTER teams lately and pulled off the victory. They are riding high on quite the endorphin rush, and I just think they will be too much for the Blackhawks to handle.
