The struggling New Jersey Devils head to Nationwide Arena to face the Metropolitan Division rival Columbus Blue Jackets in this critical matchup.

New Jersey Devils Betting News

The New Jersey Devils are coming off of a disappointing 7-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs before starting their road trip in Columbus.  In order to get an upset win against the Blue Jackets, the Devils offense needs to improve rapidly.  The key factors to the Devils offense are Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri, who lead the team in points, goals, and assists.  However, Hall is currently day-to-day on the Devils’ injury report, which will be a major factor if he does not play tonight.  The starting goalie will likely be Keith Kinkaid, who has a record of 11-9.

Columbus Blue Jackets Betting News

The Columbus Blue Jackets are coming off of a 1-0 shutout win against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.  Currently 2nd in the Metropolitan Division, they are looking to defend home ice against the New Jersey Devils.  The key to the Columbus Blue Jackets is defense- the Devils are a weak offensive team, and the Blue Jackets cannot let up on defense.  If they do not let up on defense, this should be an easy win for Columbus.  The starting goalie will likely be Sergei Bobrovsky, who currently has a record of 13-10 for the season.

The Blue Jackets will likely win this game due to the Devils’ weaknesses on offense and their defensive play.  While the Devils are looking for a much-needed win, they probably will not gain it in Columbus.

Pick: Columbus Blue Jackets -3
