NHL Scores New York Islanders vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
The New York Islanders will come into town and descend upon the Nationwide Arena Tuesday night to take on the Blue Jackets. The Islanders are looking to continue their winning ways after back-to-back wins, including a 2-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes in their last game. The Blue Jackets are also looking to build some momentum after a 5-0 victory over the Canucks in their last matchup. Both of these teams are primed and ready to go, so it should be a fun game to watch and wager on.
In the Islanders’ 2-0 win against the Arizona Coyotes, the scoring was opened up by Jordan Eberle at just the 4:37 mark. New York held on to that lead for the majority of the 2nd and 3rd periods before Brock Nelson doubled the lead with three minutes left in the game. Simply put, New York won the low-scoring affair, and they picked up two points in the process.
When the Blue Jackets won their decisive 5-0 victory over the Canucks, Josh Anderson began the scoring with the lone goal of the opening session. Matching by Pierre-Luc Dubois and Ryan Dzingel just five minutes apart expanded that lead to 3-0, and the scoring was capped off by a goal from Oliver Bjorkstrnd and yet another from Josh Anderson for a 5-0 victory.

NHL Scores Columbus Blue Jackets vs. New York Islanders
It’s definitely tempting to go with the plus money here and cast my lot with the Islanders. In normal situations, I probably would. However, the big issue I have here would be the fact that the Isles have had their share of issues. The home team in these match-ups, Columbus, has been victorious in nine of their last twelve. Yes, I realize the Isles have the better record, but I’ll go with the Blue Jackets on the plus money, and given the potent offenses of these two I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes over as well.
