NHL Scores New York Rangers vs. San Jose Sharks

The New York Rangers come into San Jose tonight to take on the Sharks at the SAP Center. The Rangers are looking for a bit of redemption after losing to the Los Angeles Kings. They not only lost, but the Kings actually netted a goal in every single period of this game for a final score of 3-1. Unfortunately, the Rangers have gone through a stretch where they have lost three out of their last five, including two games to those high flying Las Vegas Golden Knights.

If you're looking for the San Jose Sharks to be doing better than their New York counterparts, you are going to be sorely disappointed. The Sharks did have a two-game winning streak at the beginning of this month, but they are now doing terrible. They have dropped their last five, losing contests to the Capitals, Hurricanes, Lightning, Panthers, and the Predators. Interestingly enough, the Sharks recently fired their head coach, and this will be the first matchup with interim coach Bob Boughner. Someone's got to win this matchup, so it should be an interesting content to watch and wager on.

New York Rangers

As of right now, the New York Rangers are a tale of two cities. On the one hand, they have lots of offensive weapons. Players such as Artemi Panarin, Filip Chytil, and Tony DeAngelo have all made this team one that will definitely get their share of goals. However, despite all of this they have only accrued a record of 15-12-3. If they could just get their defensive struggles under control, this Rangers squad would seriously be a force to be reckoned with.

San Jose Sharks

Like the Rangers, the San Jose Sharks also have 15 wins. However, they now have a losing record with 16 losses. The last time they were on the ice, they were defeated by the Predators by a 3-1 score. The fact they were only able to muster one goal kind of belies the fact that the Sharks actually have a pretty good offense when they have their act together. Logan Couture and Evander Kane can really light it up when they are meshing well.
