With the start of the 2019-20 English Premier League just around the corner, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the status and form of the incoming teams. Manchester City 2018-19 Season Review
Pep Guardiola successfully led his team to yet another EPL title. However, this time around Liverpool gave him and his men a tough task to overcome, with only one point separating both teams at the end of the season. Manchester City also won the rest of the domestic trophies available for the season; a domestic “quadruple”. On the other hand, the team failed to challenge for the Champions League title, once again, after being eliminated in a breath-taking quarter-final match against Tottenham Hotspurs. With yet another solid and strong domestic season and an unlucky European campaign, Manchester City are aiming not to only retain the domestic titles, but also win the Champions League title for the first time in their history.

The Citizens arguably have the most equipped and deep squads in Europe, but even their back-up stars were not able to fill-in for the heart of their operations; Fernandinho. It is no secret that the team suffered a great deal during December last season as Fernandinho was injured for a few games. It was clear that the absence of the Brazilian defensive midfielder was felt throughout the month.
