Fulham vs Cardiff City 30-8-2019 Free Championship Odds,Predictions,Head-to-Head,Team News

Date: Friday 30th August 2019
Kick-off: 7:45pm
Venue: Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff

Cardiff City and Fulham were both relegated from the Premier League last season. After five league games back in the Championship, they find themselves in different halves of the table. Cardiff City are 14th in the table but that’s only a couple of points away from the promotion play-off positions. Their season can be split in two because all but one of their points have been earned at home. Their two home matches have produced wins over Luton Town and Huddersfield Town. On the road, they lost at Wigan and Reading but at the weekend grabbed a point at Blackburn. A win in this Friday evening fixture would rocket them up to fifth in the table.

Fulham have made a confident start to the season and currently hold that fifth position in the league four points behind leaders Leeds United. They have had mixed results though with three wins and two defeats. They lost their opening game at Barnsley but then won three in a row scoring nine goals. Last weekend was disappointing though as they lost 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest. Fulham’s away form last season was poor and the tip here is for a double chance on Cardiff to win or draw this match.

Last Three Results:

27 April 2019- Fulham 1-0 Cardiff- Premier League
20 October 2018- Cardiff 4-2 Fulham- Premier League

26 December 2017- Cardiff 2-4 Fulham- Championship

Full Head-to-Head Record:

Cardiff wins: 25

Fulham wins:  26
Draws: 12

Team News

German striker Robert Glatzel is still searching for his first goal for the Bluebirds. The 25-year-old striker is expected to lead the line for the hosts in the Welsh capital.

Fulham have no such problems in front of goal. Aleksandar Mitrovic has scored four goals in five Championship appearances so far this season whilst Ivan Cavaleiro, on loan from Wolves, has scored three times.

The Bluebirds can be backed at 7/4 (2.75) with bet365 to get back to winning ways here, having won this fixture 4-2 in the Premier League last season.

However, that is the only time that Cardiff have beaten Fulham in the last nine matches between the clubs and Parker’s side are 31/20 (2.55) favourites with bet365 to come out on top here. The odds compilers offer 11/5 (3.20) that Friday’s fixture ends in stalemate.
