Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United

Premier League

Selhurst Park

3:00 PM, Sunday 03-04-2018

Team News Utd.: The Red Devils are sitting in third place, trailing City by 19, and Liverpool by one point, with a game in hand. It seems as if nobody will be able to catch the Citizens this year and that the real battle is for Champions League spots. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all gunning for Utd. and are within easy striking distance. Utd. are in decent form as of late, and coming off of a Champions League draw to Sevilla and a big win over Chelsea. Realistically, they had no business being in that game against Sevilla and David De Gea is the only reason they kept a 0 on the score board. Lukaku leads them with 12 goals, Martial has 9, and Lingard has 7. Pogba has 9 assists, but has had a falling out with Mourinho and it is unsure if he will play. Lukaku and Rashford have 5 assists a piece, while Rashford also has 6 goals. This is a match up that the Red Devils should excel with, and need the points in a match up like this with a huge contest against Liverpool next week.

Team News Crystal Palace: Crystal Palace currently sit in eighteenth place in the table and are in the relegation zone, but are just three points back from thirteenth place. The relegation battle is extremely close and they are fighting for their lives in a home match up against a club giant that they have been able to knick points from before. Palace are led by Luka Milivojevic with 7 goals and Wilf Zaha has 4 as well. Andros Townsend has 5 assists and Benteke has 4, so they are able to convert offensively, but they struggle on the back end of the ball. In their last 5 matches their results are: LDDLL, so they are in poor form and hosting a large club like Utd. is a tough challenge.

Manchester United will win this game. They need the points to stay ahead of Liverpool and have a monumental match up with them next week, which will decide who continues on in second place and who drops within striking distance of Tottenham in fourth place. Utd. are too skilled offensively to not convert against Palace, and while it is away, they will get the job done.
