Bournemouth vs. Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town (6-14-6) vs. Bournemouth (8-11-7)

Huddersfield Town has struggled terribly in this season with 14 losses out of 26 games thus far. This morning’s game is a crucial game for Huddersfield and they need this win today.  They are coming off of a huge 4-1 win against Birmingham earlier this week and fans are ready to see if they can perform to this degree again against Bournemouth. After earning a place in the fifth round causing many to say that perhaps they are ready to turn this season around and continue to win. They dominated the field breaking a 90-minute tie and some players were revitalized by the energy of the crowd. Goalkeeper David Stockdale refused to let any goals get past him. His resilience on the field during this game has fueled the fan’s love and he should have the same energy today. If he does, they have a good chance at a win.

Forward Collin Quaner was a pleasant surprise as well on the field last game. All eyes are on him as he went from being a town villain to a hero this season. With his strong tackles and skill, Bournemouth should be scared. Quaner was aggressive and used various attacking moves to focus in on the win that blew the competition away.

Bournemouth has become beast recently as they constantly pick off the competition. Rumors are stirring that their 3-0 win against Chelsea last week was their finest win yet. They are now seven games undefeated in the Premier League at the moment. Their last game and win against Stroke City showed that they are a hungry team that is doing whatever it takes to win. Team manager Eddie Howe knows how to work the field and place players where they need to be. His decision to replacing his defender with a forward with only 13 minutes in the game is the reason they went home with this win. Howe knows the strengths of his players and bet the game on Lys Mousset. Mousset went in with his head in the game and prepared to score against Stroke City. They made their mistake by underestimating Mousset thus leaving him unmarked as he scored the winning goal.

Quaner has continuously said that he has been working on his offensive game and I am excited to watch all of his practice show out on the field. His performance has been critical to Huddersfield and he needs to give it all he has. Huddersfield cannot underestimate anyone Howe puts on the field. He knows how to use his players to their full potential. I would put my money on Bournemouth because it would be the safest bet. They are consistent and have proven time and time again they want to win and have the talent to do so.

When I was a child Ray Wilson lived nearby. Despite many of us being lfc to the core, he was kindness personified to me and all the other lads who kicked a ball around the neighbourhood. A true great of the game but more than that, a great man. RIP. @htafc @Everton #RayWilson
