Free FIFA World Cup Prediction Iceland vs. Nigeria
Iceland put together what’s probably the most impressive game in the opening games when they were able to draw with Argentina. Iceland’s defense was the talk of their opener as they allowed Lionel Messi’s Argentina side to have 77% of the possession but only conceded once while the goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson’s save of Messi’s penalty kick was the lasting talk of the match. Gylfi Sigurdsson was able to lead Iceland’s counter and Finboggon managed to score off a rebound. It looks as if Iceland may have to change their starting 11 as Johann Gudmundsson suffered a muscle tear in their Group D opener and looks to be doubtful. Rurik Gislason will replace him in the starting lineup.
Nigeria will continue to look for their midfield to create chances but the question mark for them has been their finishing ability. For example, Nigeria was able to get 14 shots off but only two were on target but Nigeria also was able to keep possession with 47% against Croatia. Nigeria will at least need to get a win in one of their last two games if they hope to advance out of the group stage. Victor Moses will need to provide the speed on the wings while he might try to cut inside and disrupt the middle of the field. The flying eagles will need to get an early goal and try to get this game a bit more up and down. A potential lineup change could see Ogenyi Onazi could feature. This game should be a bit more settled for Nigeria as they are the youngest team at the World Cup they shouldn’t have as much nerves and could control the game a lot more.

Free FIFA World Cup Pick Iceland vs. Nigeria
This game for Iceland shouldn’t be as lopsided in terms of their defending the entire games as their opener. Nigeria will want an open attacking game and so Iceland will probably still not have over 50% possession but Iceland’s counter will most likely be on display more than once. Nigeria has struggled with set pieces and inexperience could show itself especially with Sigurdsson providing the service and if Nigeria does decide to foul when Iceland counters then the Iceland offense could even get more chances with the more physical and bigger players they should control the balls in the air. An advantage for Nigeria however should be the temperatures which are hot and the Nigerian coach has already said they will not lose this game. Nigeria will start the game quick but Iceland will slow the pace down to their tempo and see out this game. Iceland’s attack seems to be very efficient and with that this game should be a defensive struggle and the score line should end up 1-0 or 2-1 in favor of Iceland but Nigeria will put up a great fight as they look to stay alive in Group D.
