Team News Utd.: This is a futbol fan’s dream. The Red Devils are sitting in second place, trailing City by 16, and Liverpool are sitting in third, just two points behind Utd. It seems as if nobody will be able to catch the Citizens this year and that the real battle is for Champions League spots. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are all gunning for Utd. and are within easy striking distance. Utd. are in decent form as of late, and coming off of a Champions League draw to Sevilla, a big win over Chelsea and a shocking comeback against Palace. Realistically, they had no business being in that game against Sevilla and David De Gea is the only reason they kept a 0 on the score board, but they looked more promising in the following two matches. Lukaku leads them with 13 goals, Martial has 9, and Lingard has 7. Pogba has 9 assists, but has had a falling out with Mourinho and it is unsure if he will play. Lukaku and Rashford have 5 assists a piece, while Rashford also has 6 goals. Matic had to pull a wonder strike out of thin air to gain three points against a weak Palace side, otherwise Utd. would be sitting in third.

Team News Liverpool: First year Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has taken the league by storm, pacing the golden boot race with 24 goals and 8 assists in 27 matches and Roberto Firmino seems to finally be settling into the Premier League, with 13 goals and 7 assists in 27 matches. The Reds are a dangerous attacking side, but struggle defensively. They splashed $70 million on Virgil Van Dijk who has looked like a God send since joining their backline. Sadio Mane has found a second life since the departure of Coutinho, once again allowing him to race down the wings and create opportunities with his blistering speed. He has 8 goals on the season now, and looks to be back to his form of last year. The Reds dominated Porto 5-0 in the Champions League and just continue to look stronger and stronger under Jurgen Klopp and then bounced back in convincing fashion over West Ham with a 4-1 win, which saw Salah, Firmino and Mane all score.

This is a match with monumental stipulations. Liverpool look to be so strong offensively that they could topple any European giant. They are looking much stronger in the back with VVD playing well in the system and Loris Karius looks confident as ever in net. While the match is being played at Old Trafford, Liverpool have something to prove. They want to show they are no joke, and their offense is an absolute force. Liverpool will win this match. Utd. are shaky at the back and Mane and Salah’s speed will give their OB fits, along with Firmino’s class finishing.

Pick: Liverpool 13/8
