Free English Premier League Picks BRIGHTON VS MANCHESTER CITY

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, comprehends how crucial this final match of the Primer League season is for his side against Brighton. If City wins, they qualify for their second consecutive League championship, however, if Liverpool finds a way to get 3 points in their final game, and City fails to match that, there will be a new champion laureled.

‘I know we will be judged, we have to win,’ Pep told the media earlier this week.  Manchester City have accumulated 195 points in 75 league matches since the start of last season. Thus far despite this superior return City could finish up with only one championship. Guardiola has acknowledged this and how his team can anticipate furious critique if they tumble at the final barrier. On the contrary, Brighton & Hove Albion manager, Chris Hughton, responded by saying, “The message to my players on Sunday will be about the respect for this division. It’s a home match for us which we want to win – it so happens there’s big meaning.”

Kevin de Bruyne could be participating in Manchester City’s title decider after healing from a hamstring injury.  Fernandinho remains out with a knee problem and is also doubtful for the FA Cup final, while Benjamin Mendy and Claudio Bravo are also still sidelined. Brighton’s only injuries are Davy Propper and Jose Izquierdo, who are out with hamstring and knee problems. Captain Bruno is set for his final game before retiring from playing. Following a seven-year spell in English football with the Seagulls, the veteran right-back has announced his retirement after today’s game.

Pep said “We must play well, knowing it will be tough. It’s about how we react even if we have bad moments and try to make a good game. Focus on the game, how we want to play and not worry too much. If the game is running into problems, be calm and think about what you have to do. You may have to go crazy in the last five, 10, 15 minutes but before that, we have a plan and follow the plan to win the game – what we have done all season.” Brighton will love to play spoils on Sunday by keeping this game as long as they can scoreless, as each minute that passes, the pressure builds on Manchester City with the hopes of winning the title on the line. Especially, if City happens to be scoreboard watching, and see Liverpool up by a few goals in the first half.

Shane Duffy, who has been voted Brighton’s Player of the Year this season, has been getting pleas from Everton fans to let Pep Guardiola’s men keep Liverpool from winning the Premier League. He spent five years at Everton but will be doing City no favors out of loyalty to his former club.

City have won three of their past four matches 1-0, the other being a 2-0 victory over Manchester United, with Foden’s fifth-minute strike against Tottenham Hotspur the only early goal in this sequence. As a result, City has been winning, but not dominating scorelines as they did earlier in the year.

Each of Brighton’s last five PL matches has ended with under 2.5 goals.
City have scored the opening goal in a league-high 15 of their 18 PL away games this term.
There’s been at least four yellow cards in three of Brighton’s last five PL home matches.
