Free English Premier League Picks Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace
Manchester United welcome Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday in the Premier League. United dropped points against Wolves after scoring early and will be desperate for a win at home - The Red Devil’s are unbeaten in their last 22 league games against Crystal Palace (W18 D4) since a 0-3 defeat at Selhurst Park in May 1991. Palace are yet to register a win this season and their defeat to newly promoted Sheffield United (1-0) was surprising.
Crystal Palace have won just two of their last 20 Premier League games against ‘big six’ opposition (W2 D3 L15), although those two victories came away from home, beating Man City in December 2018 and Arsenal in April 2019 - Hodgson would hope his side can gain inspiration from theses victories. United need to be consistent if they are to finish in the top four this season and Palace test awaits them on Saturday.
Manchester United have lost two of their last four Premier League home games (W1 D1), though they did win last time out against Chelsea. Those two defeats are as many as they lost in their previous 27 at Old Trafford in the Premier League (W18 D7 L2). Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should not underestimate Palace, having said that he would be confident his men can get the job done. After starting the season with a win over Chelsea - Manchester United haven’t yet been at their best, home wins might be easy but they’ll need to improve when they travel away. Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s inclusion has already bought rewards to the sides and Martial transformation as a no. 9 has turned United around. Manchester United have injury concerns - Diogo Dalot is sidelined through an injury, while Bailly hasn’t recovered from injury.
