MANCHESTER CITY VS MANCHESTER UNITED
Currently, Manchester City are siting at the top of the league table but are closely challenged by Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC, all of whom haven’t lost a fixture yet. Manchester United are slogging at the 7th position but are better than where they were a few weeks ago.
Manchester City have been in a red hot form this season. Having scored the most number of goals this season in an indomitable fashion, it’s a certain outcome to expect them to meet the back of the net atleast once. Manchester United’s defense has been shaky right from the seasonss start. The Red Devils would opt for their 4-2-3-1 formation against the Pep Guardiola’s boys. Frankly, Manchester United have had a tough time controlling the ball and it’s possession; it’s shameful to see them with just a lone clean sheet this season in the English Premier League.
Manchester City would lash out with their trusted 4-3-3 formation at their home turf. The trio of Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling have insane chemistry and between themselves account for more than 75% of all the Manchester City’s goals this season. Kevin de Bruyne wouldn’t start in the line up but would be called to wreak havoc in the middle of the match by subbing out either Aguero or Mahrez as both aren’t exactly the pinnacle of stamina.
Manchester United have been having nightmares with the Portuguese Jose Mourinho this season. He and the French World Cup striker Paul Pogba are reportedly having a fallout due to disagreements in team tactics. Mourinho is known to be erratic in his approach of training players but has groomed legends like Eden Hazard during his time in Chelsea FC. The attack for the visitors would largely be in the hands of Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata. Pogba whose comfortable playing as centre midfielder is often thrown back to the position of defensive midfielder, a position with which he is acquainted but doesn’t suit his aggressive ‘all out’ style of play.

Manchester City lost the previous encounter in the Manchester Derby in April. Unfortunately for the fans both the teams haven’t met each other outside the league. Out of the three last matches, they had a win, loss and draw in each match.
Manchester United fans would find it impractical to keep their hopes up high on the fact that they won the previous encounter. A lot has changed at the Etihad and the City hasn’t seen a loss after the transfer window under Guardiola
FREE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTION MANCHESTER CITY VS MANCHESTER UNITED
Manchester City would win this without sweating much. The morale for the visitors is shaky and the juggernaut attack would make a mockery of the defense in shambles of the United. Manchester United are highly unlikely to score unless the City makes an error in their own judgement. Three points for the hosts is the outcome for the weekend.
Pick: Manchester City -1.5
