This week we travel to Memphis for the WGC - FedEx St. Jude Invitational at TPC Southwind in the south western corner of Tennessee. The Par 70 course stretches 7,200 yards and is known for its par 3 11th, which is very similar to the island green at TPC Sawgrass in Jacksonville, FL. We should also expect the weather to be much, much better than we saw in Northern Ireland last weekend. Lots of big names made the hasty journey back to the U.S. to play in the St. Jude Invitational, so let’s dive into the odds and see who has the best shot at pulling off a victory this weekend.

Dustin Johnson (+900)

Leading the charge for the week is DJ at 9-to-1 odds. He’s coming off a somewhat rough weekend at Royal Portrush where he placed T51, but I’d expect to see him bounce back this week heading home to the states and its sunny weather. DJ will also be dialing himself in this week with only a handful of events left in the regular season, and it will help that he is on a course where he won just last year. Not to mention Johnson absolutely destroys WGC events. He has won five of the six already in his career, with the St. Jude Invitational being the only one that has eluded him so far.

Justin Thomas (+1800)

Sitting near the top of the anticipated leaders is JT at 18-to-1 odds. This will be his first time playing TPC Southwind, but he is another player familiar with victory at the WGC events. He will be trying for back to back victories in this event, even though last year it was the Bridgestone Invitational played at Firestone. His wrist shouldn't be an issue either as he seems to be trending back to his former self. Reeling in a T9 and T12 in his last two events, the latter being impressive due to the conditions at Portrush just last weekend, I could see JT making a run for his first victory of the year at TPC Southwind this weekend.
